Switches

A switch connects devices within a network and brings their data links together. Models with PoE can also power compatible devices within their electrical limits.

For a surveillance installation, compare port count and speed, uplinks, management options and mounting. If PoE is required, calculate power per port and the total budget around the cameras and other devices you plan to connect, allowing for the needs of the complete installation.
